This was for a client that manufactures electric power backup equipment.
I found the location I liked, then I managed to get the permission to photograph and the co-operation of all the residents of the houses. The main subject house has all the interior and the exterior lights on. The two houses at the sides have everything off.
I didn't want to inconvenience the residents, that were all home at the time, so i made sure I did not ask them to switch off, and on, until the last minute. All went well.
The city skyline was a seperate shot. Grant Simmons at DISC put the two shots together.
The client and a national retailer used the image for packaging and POP display.
